Chanelle Washington is the visionary behind Indigofera, a beauty wellness and lifestyle company. She is a riveting and passionate speaker whose keen observation, life experience, and professional prowess contribute an innovative edge to her oratory style. Chanelle is a driven businesswoman, and her inspirations include: nature, science, aesthetic traditions, culture, and entrepreneurship. Ms. Washington founded Indigofera “treasures for body, mind & soul” a wellness company in 2000. In September 2006, she took another leap of faith by introducing the Indigofera Natural Hair & Skin Studio, which has developed a strong and loyal following in the Delaware Valley region.

As an entrepreneurial maven and wellness expert, Chanelle’s brand assets include: a natural hair studio offering spa and skin care services; a lifestyle magazine (launching summer of 2007); self-published articles and books on beauty, health and entrepreneurialism; glamorous makeup and eyelash artistry; signature hair and skin care lines; and her sought after speaking engagements.

Her distinguished clientele are comprised of business, professional and social networking groups that span the range of human interest and civic necessity. Recently, she has facilitated her own in demand series of "Optimal Wellness Workshops" and “Entrepreneur Success Series”. Previous speaking engagements have been in conjunction with: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. (Rho Theta Omega Chapter), The Power Networking™ Conference (sponsored by Frasernet.com), and the Mocha Moms (an African American parenting support group).

A Philadelphia native, Chanelle earned a Bachelor's degree in nursing with honors from Temple University in 1998. Ms. Washington is a current MBA student who is passionate about business development. In 2005, Chanelle was chosen from a group of innovative entrepreneurs to represent all of Philadelphia in the “Verizon Realize” Ad Campaign. She serves as faculty associate ambassador for the Power Networking Conference and is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nurses.

Chanelle’s avidly believes in keeping community ties and practicing Corporate Social Responsibility, thus Indigofera is a proud supporter of the Sickle Cell Association of the Delaware Valley. Indigofera has been featured at national trade shows and has won clients throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe. In 2006, Indigofera and HR Energy co-sponsored “Success Habits” a national empowerment tour with noted speaker and author Wil Cason. The 2006 Philadelphia Natural Hair Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center featured Chanelle as a panelist and prominent presenter. In the fall of 2007 she will release her first book for aspiring entrepreneurs titled “Seven Gems For Entrepreneurial Success”. Chanelle is destined for phenomenal success as a sought after speaker, trusted expert and respected businesswoman.
