Biography
Don
Moman, a Microsoft Certified Professional, has over
20 years of training and expertise in the PC business
environment. He has worked for several major corporations
in all facets of the industry, including creating
and maintaining PC networks, client training and
support, data backup, disaster recovery, network
cabling, and network security.
Now,
as the Director, Operations of DEMoman Consulting,
he is working with small- to medium-sized firms
and with individuals, offering them the opportunity
to benefit from the professional skills and abilities
he developed when employed by the larger firms.
He is currently working with clients in the financial,
maritime, pharmaceutical, community services and
construction industries.
His
primary expertise is with the Microsoft software
environment, both at the network/server and the
individual PC levels. He is well versed in Microsoft’s
operating systems (from Windows 98 to Windows
Server 2003) as well as the Office suite of applications
and other Microsoft packages. In addition, he
has created and maintained both wired and wireless
networks. He has worked with all types of hardware
(servers, desktops, laptops, printers, etc.) from
many companies, including, HP, Dell, IBM, Toshiba,
and others.
Network
security is the current buzz phrase, and he has
been extensively involved in this area, from diagnosing
and solving virus/spyware problems, to configuring
firewalls and distributing remote VPN (Virtual
Private Networks) connections.
